I offer deep gratitude to the original stewards of this land:  the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, the Haudenosaunee, Anishinaabe, Neutrals and all Indigenous Peoples who have long nurtured and protected this region. 

I acknowledge that my European-descent ancestors settled and benefited from Turtle Island and this region, and I have had unfair privileges because of it. 

As we engage in work of personal and spiritual growth, let's be mindful of the deep connection between land and spirit, and honour the teachings that Indigenous communities have carried through generations. 

I commit to supporting the healing and reconciliation of the land, its Peoples and ourselves, and to advocate that the Treaties are honoured by the Crown and Canada.
